  Mahindra files trademark applications for XUV100, XUV400, XUV700, and XUV900 nameplates..... XUV700 to be launched in q2 FY2022 - Expected to be utilized for future models Mahindra  recently announced the name of its three-row SUV as XUV700. Now, the Indian automaker has applied to trademark three more nameplates. These include XUV100, XUV400, and XUV900.  Meanwhile, the XUV100 and XUV400 nameplates could be relatively smaller SUVs, details of which are not known at the moment. Mahindra will launch the XUV700 in Q2 FY2022 which will be followed by the launch of the next-gen Scorpio (codenamed Z101). Going purely by the numbering nomenclature, the XUV900 label could be utilised for Mahindra’s flagship SUV that could replace the  Alturas G4  in the full-size SUV.   The Mahindra XUV700; launch in Q2 FY2022 :  - To be offered with both petrol and diesel engines  - Optional AWD on select variants  - The highly anticipated W601 SUV has now been christened the Mahindra XUV700 and will be launched in India in  Q2  of FY2022. The Indian automaker has announced that it will be offered with petrol, diesel engines as well as MT and AT options for both engines. What’s more, AWD will be offered as an optional extra for select variants. This will be Mahindra’s new flagship SUV in its lineup and is expected to arrive in a similar segment to that of the current XUV 5OO. - The car has already been spotted testing in various stages of camouflage, the latest of which has revealed an evolutionary design when looked at against the XUV500. It will be manufactured at the Mahindra plant in Chakan near Pune, Maharashtra.

  The Nissan Magnite Achieves 10,000 Units Production Industry Is Changing Fast. The  Nissan  Magnite was launched in India on 2 December 2020 - The model is offered in four variants and eight colours Nissan India launched the Magnite sub-four metre SUV back in December last year. The model received a good response, receiving over 15,000 bookings within just 15 days of its launch. Now, Nissan India has revealed that the Magnite has reached a production milestone of 10,000 units. The waiting period for the model stretches up to eight months, details of which are available here. Powertrain options on the  Nissan Magnite  include a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 70bhp and 96Nm of torque, as well as a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 97bhp and 160Nm of torque. A five-speed manual unit is standard while a CVT unit is available exclusively with the turbo-petrol version.
